Yamchi Services has modified the design of the old “Baker” style valve to develop a new advanced and optimized valve to eliminate the common problems associated with the old style valve such as spring failure and cage washout. Below are the highlights of Our patented valve (US 62/779,150) that makes it distinct from the ones in the market:
• Resistant to washout: All of our floats are manufactured from alloy steel EN30B (specific for downhole tools) and case-hardened using Boriding (Bor-coat) process making them extremely resistance to wear and abrasion. This helps to reduce the washout of legs and dart caused by abrasive material inside the drilling fluid.
• Strong spring assembly with stopper and cap: In order to reduce the chance of spring failure, we use strong and durable spring (More than 3 times stronger than the ones in market) in our valves in combination with stopper and protector feature. The stopper protects the spring from over-compression when the valve is in open position and the spring protector isolates the spring from high velocity fluid.
• Longer Guide: We have also introduced a longer guide for the dart to move along in. The longer guide keeps the dart in direct position and prevent the dart from going off sides.
• High quality products: All of our tools are locally manufactured from high quality material (material traceability available upon request), quality inspected, and pressure tested prior to sending to location.
